Nuffield Health has partnered with the Football Association (FA) to create a holistic health and wellbeing programme for young people (12 to 15 years old) participating in grassroots football clubs.
Using your skills in research, data and statistics you'll process, analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of a behaviour change intervention aimed to improve the physical activity, diet, sleep and mental wellbeing of young people.
The role will primarily involve working with large datasets to derive value and provide analysis for peer-reviewed publications and calculation of Social Return on Investment (SROI) from the intervention.
The Statistician/Researcher will be expected to contribute to the writing and submission of outcomes from the project to peer-review journals, as well as assisting in the design of presentations that support the sharing of knowledge nationally.
A passion for the statistical analysis of large datasets is essential.As our Statistician/Researcher you will:
Have experience and expertise in data analysis using R.
Be responsible for data cleaning processes to be able to derive value from the data provided by the FA.
Complete statistical analysis of the data to understand the effectiveness of the intervention.
Generate Social Return on Investment (SROI) metrics using the data generated from the intervention.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention and propose design changes.
To feedback to the project team on progress, to make recommendations for next steps.
Write up regular progress reports and present outcomes to all Investigators and Collaborators.
Support the design and write up of outputs from the research project.
Interpret the evidence generated from data analysis to support project development and evaluation.
Analyse and evaluate data generated from the project.
