Location - Working for the Whitburn office - Site based and pick up Edinburgh

What's in it for you?

  • Rates of pay higher than national minimum apprenticeship £6.13 per hour minimum
  • Working hours 40 per week (Monday to Friday) (inclusive of day release)

What you can expect:


As a qualified Plumber here at Novus, your role would typically be working alongside a team of trade colleagues undertaking reactive maintenance works in customers' homes, across the region and the skills you would learn throughout your apprenticeship would include;.

Plumbing Systems
  • Understand selection, planning, installation, testing, commissioning and decommissioning, maintenance, repair and fault diagnosis techniques on cold & hot water, central heating and above ground drainage and rainwater systems

Electrical Components & Control
  • Understand instillation and testing techniques on plumbing appliances

Tools

  • To use and maintain hand and power tools to achieve optimum performance, appropriate to the project, ensuring to store safely

Health & Safety
  • To learn the principles of health, safety and welfare and how these are applied in the workplace

Team work

  • The role will give the skills and abilities to not only be part of a team but to play an active role within a busy team.

Stakeholder Management

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Managers, Colleagues and Customers
