SMART Education recruits into Teaching Jobs in Birmingham and across the West Midlands, and into Home Tutor jobs across the UK.

Responsibilities:


  • Customise lesson plans and materials to meet national curriculum standards, tailoring them to each student's unique learning style, particularly those at risk of exclusion.
  • Regularly assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes and provide necessary support for engagement and motivation.
  • Cultivate a positive, stimulating learning environment that encourages students to excel, offering guidance and encouragement for their success.
  • Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, offering feedback and addressing concerns collaboratively to support students' academic and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance, ensuring accountability and tracking progress over time.

Qualifications:


  • Qualified teacher status (
    QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience as a Home Tutor, preferably at the GCSE level, demonstrating the ability to support students facing challenges that may lead to exclusion.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities, particularly in establishing rapport with students encountering difficulties.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to students' academic success, emphasising personalised support to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods creatively to meet individual learning needs, fostering engagement and motivation.

Working Hours:
Flexible hours tailored to your availability, accommodating both full-time and part-time schedules. Planning time per student ranges from 1 to 2 hours, depending on session length.
