Summary


Working within non-destructive testing, you will ensure that through Magnetic Particle, Penetrant, Acid Etch, and Visual inspection methods, product meets customer requirements.

Where required you will compile work instructions, as well as other administration tasks.

Managing inventory within the department will also be required.


Main Duties

  • Inspect and test aircraft parts, using these methods : Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant & Acid Etch Inspection
  • Perform Control and Calibration tests on tools and equipment; ensure compliance to regulations
  • Timely completion of administration data
  • Carry out inspection tasks in other areas when necessary
  • Compile quality reports where required
  • May be called upon to work within other areas of the quality department
  • Other duties as deemed relevant in the fulfilment of the position

Essential Experience

  • Engineering background, ideally within the Aerospace sector
  • English language and Maths to GCSE Grade C or above
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks
  • Ability and willingness to work within a team

Desirable Experience

  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications preferable
  • Computer literate
  • Possess strong organisational skills
  • Ideally have experience and knowledge of NDT
  • Qualified to EN4179/NAS410 at Level II standard (Full training will be given to suitable applicant)

Note:
The top base salary includes a 30% shift premium rate. Working non-shift hours, the upper salary is £25,300. Only applicants who can commute to Lincoln, and legally work in the UK, will be considered.
