Hours:37.5hrs pw (shifts:
long days/nights/weekends)
Salary:
£34,536-£38,374 (dependent on skills & experience plus 9% shift allowance) + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

- An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic experienced nurse to join our Oncology & Medical team at The Wellington Hospital, London. _
We are passionate about constantly improving our service and delivering high quality care to our patients and strive to build upon the excellent care we provide.
We are looking for committed individuals with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, who have a genuine interest in working within the oncology or medical speciality to join our team.
The successful applicant will have an interest in working within the oncology & medical setting, venepuncture and cannulation skills would be desirable but training will be provided if not.
This staff nurse role provides a real opportunity to develop clinical skills and knowledge base while being supported by a senior and experiences team; we take pride in our track record of developing the senior nursing team and leaders and of the future.
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for working in a supporting experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment.

- Participate in individual care needs of patients and develop appropriate care plans to implement and evaluate
- Monitor patient care and interventions appropriately
- Recognise deterioration in patients' condition at an early stage, (including neutropenic patients) Refer to the senior nurse and medical team appropriately
- Attend IV/ chemotherapy drug administration training, complete workbook competence
- Attend training and complete competency for our Neuroendocrine Unit.
- Report and document adverse incidents appropriately
- Initiate appropriate actions to isolate patients when required
- Implement a holistic approach in the care of patients requiring infection control precautions.
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
- NHS or Private ward experience
- Oncology/Cancer care experience
- Medical speciality experience
- Passionate about patient care, respectful, responsible and committed
- Haematology experience is desirable
