Role SnapshotCoordinate, deliver and evaluate the Mindful Towns and Villages programme in South Norfolk and Broadland. Work with communities and stakeholders to create a 'train the trainer' programme that builds resilience in the programme and lead on developing a new Mindful Youth offer.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare, deliver and evaluate mental health awareness training for residents ensuring that the programme meets all funding and contractual demands.
  • Manage, develop, implement and evaluate all aspects of the Mindful Towns and Villages programme, ensuring a high quality service that meets identified and funding requirements, operates within budget and empowers residents to support each other's mental health.
  • Develop the MTV project to ensure it remains effective, efficient and relevant. Foster and maintain relationships with relevant partners including VCSE provision, community leaders and statutory services.
  • Work with relevant partners to create, develop, deliver and evaluate a Youth Mental Health Awareness course that is aimed at children and young people.
  • Create, develop and deliver a 'train the trainer' programme that enables Wellbeing Champions to deliver mental health awareness training in their community.
  • To manage and oversee a network of trained Mental Health Champions to empower communities and individuals to shape low level mental health support at a local level. Ensure the signposting of and support the marketing of our offering to existing groups.

You must have

  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Alevel or equivalent
  • Hold the Mental Health First Aid England Instructor Qualification or equivalent or have appropriate experience and be willing to complete the training within 6 months.
  • Indepth knowledge of common mental health conditions and experience of supporting individuals experiencing poor mental health
  • Demonstrable experience of organising and providing training to individuals or groups within community settings.
  • An ability to independently travel to venues across South Norfolk and Broadland, including those without public transport links.
