What you'll be doing:

Please note that it is an occupational requirement that the postholder is female due to the nature of the service that Caritas Bakhita House provides_


Working within Caritas Bakhita House, our Relief Support Worker will support the women who are currently resident there, and new arrivals, sharing the responsibility for the case load of each individual woman.

This role will be responsible for providing emotional and practical support and advice to aid the empowerment of the residents.


You will also be responsible for assisting in signposting women to health and wellbeing services contributing to a holistic recovery, and to assist the women to achieve financial relief through accessing statutory benefit systems and job or volunteering opportunities.


Furthermore, you will have responsibilities surrounding the interviewing, and carrying out of assessments, for women referred by third sector and other relevant organizations.

Community spirit and standards of living for the women in residence are paramount to the service provided by Bakhita House, and you will also play a pivotal role in upholding both.
