Job Description & Person
Role Overview:
To provide technical support to the licensing team, covering the broad range of licensing functions, providing advice and guidance to applicants utilising knowledge of the licensing regime and various policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with members of the public and other key stakeholders including but not limited to Elected Members, Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service and others.
- Manage own workload and prioritise work in line with statutory timeframes laid out in licensing legislation. Be able to adapt and change direction quickly from one area of licensing to another in line with service demands and workload received.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- Experience of working in a busy administrative role working under extreme pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience of working with members of the public, and with other agencies, including a demonstratable understanding of the concept of customer care
- Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with confrontational situations face to face and over the telephone
