The main agricultural dealer for New Holland and JCB covering Central, Southern, and SoutheastEngland is looking for an energetic and highly motivated Service Manager to support a dynamic team
of technicians working to offer industry leading support. Along with a salary of up to £50.000 per
annum, you will also receive a company car, laptop, mobile phone, 30 days holiday, and training and
development opportunities.
The company can trace its origins to 1790 when the business was founded as an ironmongery and
general store. Since 2000 they have expanded significantly again and now operates with branches at
Winchester, Newbury, Horsham, Uckfield, Wrotham Heath, Great Chart, Birchington and Ashford
with its Head Office, Ford Transit-Centre, Accident Repair Centre and a new upgraded FordStore
showroom situated on an expanded 5-acre site at Ashford Road in Maidstone. Today its major
franchises include Ford, Iveco, New Holland, Case IH, JCB & Fiat Professional Commercials and with a staff of just under 340 the Company has sales in excess of £100 million.
As Service Manager, your responsibilities will include- Managing and motivating the staff in a safe, effective, and profitable working environment
- Providing the highest level of customer support with a sales minded approach by upselling
proactively seeking new aftersales business.
- Recruiting, developing, and managing staff
- Purchasing, managing, and controlling workshop tools and consumables to meet the
- Implementing and maintaining the service schedule planner, regular updating the customer
tools and recall procedures.
- Effectively communicating with dealership colleagues, business partners, suppliers,
- Managing company vehicles.
- Planning and organising team workload, absence cover and seasonal demands
- Planning and managing workshop consumables, inventory level to be sourced
- Providing proactive H&S management, maintained to the highest level possible.
- Proven management experience in an aftersales environment
- Extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices including product
- Highly motivated with leadership qualities and target driven
- Prioritising, time management, planning and organisational skills
- Able to deliver high levels of CS
- Good communicator with welldeveloped interpersonal skills
- Knowledge or experience in the Agricultural market, Farmers etc.
- Competent PC skills and administrative ability
- Maintain H&S for staff and customers to the highest levels possible
