We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Building Surveyor based in Derbyshire.


The role is full time 37 hours and offered on a 3-month temporary basis, to start as soon as possible.

This role is predominantly site based, however admin duties can be carried out from home. Experience with damp and mould is desirable but not essential.

Your duties will involve the following:

  • Manage a range of complex disrepair cases across all Housing stock
  • Be responsible for surveying properties in disrepair, creating schedules of works and following the procedure in managing disrepair claims
  • Pre inspect/Investigate all reported damp & mould cases by undertaking site inspection/survey and producing report on findings including photographic evidence including damp meter readings
  • Assess and determine remedial course of action to take to rectify damp & mould issues including specification of works to be undertaken
  • Post inspect work undertaken to rectify damp & mould problems. Update damp & mould database
  • Support the planned major and minor works programme when necessary, including manage programme of works as well as post inspect completed works
  • Support empty homes programme (Voids) when necessary, including undertaking preinspection, raise works order, manage programme of works as well as post inspect completed works and approve invoicing of works undertaken
  • Undertake administration including raising works order and approve invoice of works undertaken
To be considered for this role you must have a clean driving license with access to your own car.
