Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive stock into the quarantine area as per the standard operating procedures, check and complete required documentation and book on to the system.
  • To coordinate and perform the picking, packing and dispatch of all orders for dispatch to hospital/clinical settings.
  • To monitor stock levels and coordinate with administration for ordering and resupply.
  • Providing a prompt and responsive delivery service of medicines to hospitals and courier collection points and the replenishment of stock as required
  • Monitoring temperature control systems.
  • To maintain all of the documentation relating to the stores.
  • To follow the standard operating procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice in order to maintain the Units Specials Licence.
  • To ensure that all relevant production validations are kept up to date.
  • To ensure that the warehouse is maintained in a tidy ordered condition and to a standard of appearance concordant with the professional nature of the work, this includes the restocking of consumable stock.
To maintain an effective system of stock control to include:

  • Routine stock checks (some may be out of hours)
  • Stock rotation
  • Checking of expiry dates
  • Safe Operation and use of company vehicles to include:
  • Safety checks
  • Maintenance (POL)
  • Temperature control equipment
  • Use of navigation aids
  • To ensure that the relevant principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) are applied at all times
  • To ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all other relevant legislation e.g. Medicines Act, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • To follow Standard Operating Procedures and to contribute to the development and maintenance of these and other work instructions
  • Other tasks as required by the Production management team or Warehouse Supervisor
  • To attend such study days and updating courses as are deemed necessary for the
- development of the unit and yourself.

  • To undertake any other duties within the production team as required by your
  • Manager/Supervisor which may include some out of hours work depending on the nature of the task.

Driver **This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. The post holder will be required to be flexible and take on projects and responsibilities as the company grows.
