Typical responsibilities
- Provide information and data management consultancy and scope definition
- Develop information and data management strategies and plans (and define and coordinate appropriate resources to support delivery of)
- Write standards and procedures to define information and data management governance, standards, processes and systems, ensuring alliance with client requirements and interfaces
- Define client and project data requirements, as well as build and establish class libraries and asset information requirements
- Identify, manage and support gaps in data quality
- Support project set up and continuous improvement activities and inputs with regards to information and data best practices
- Input to the development and maintenance of Wood's information and data management strategy, procedures and reporting
- Contribute to Wood's Information Management Community of Practice and provide regional updates to the team
- Maintain and grow relationships with information and data management colleagues globally, sharing strategy ideas and opportunities
- Attend client's governance boards / forum and contribute input to key topics covered
- Ensure that the toolset employed to deliver Wood's information and data management strategy and capabilities are fit for purpose and seek to improve and extend
- Provide governance to both Wood and client information and data models and ensure a high level of consistency and approach in their ongoing management
- Be innovative in their thinking around what we can use information and data management knowledge to achieve, including the use of 3DV systems, process automation, vizualisation and artificial intelligence tools
Skills / Qualifications:
Skills And Qualifications
Expected:
- Experience in engineering data and information management environment
- Experience in a client facing position
- Achievement in a lead role including standard scoping, writing and implementation
Desirable:
- Demonstrable knowledge of multidisciplinary data sets across various sectors and industries (including engineering, operational and vendor data sets)
- Knowledge of information and data control standards, processes, ownership and governance
- Knowledge of 3DV systems and interface requirements. Knowledge of digital asset representation technologies
- Demonstrable experience of delivering successful information management consultancy scopes
- Able to identify and define process improvement opportunities within multidisciplinary data and information sets and articulate these for our clients
- Experience of digitised data collection
- Experience of managing own workload and working to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and client focused
- Demonstrable administration skills
- Experience contributing to competitive sales tenders and presenting to potential clients
