About the Role:

Salary:
£44,195 to £50,611 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

What is the Role?


Enterprise IT supports a dynamic and varied business, which is comprised of complimentary verticals which underpin its Whole Systems Thinking (WST) approach.

You will work as part of the team to support delivery of high-performance end-to-end IT services, supporting SSE Enterprise business services to established SLAs.


  • Independently diagnose and resolve incidents and problems and provide support to the monitoring and reporting of the supported systems performance.
  • Undertake the validation and verification of technical deliverables through QA and test processes.
  • Using experience, provide guidance and technical input of own area through, knowledge transfer, one to one workshop, mentoring to other teams as required.
  • Provide out of hours support as required and agreed with the Delivery Lead.
  • Provide input into the definition and documentation of the technical delivery policy, process, standards and documentation templates.
  • Provide vendor liaison support and maintain the relationship with third parties.
  • Undertake tasks to ensure the access and security of SSE's assets as required.

  • Sound technical computing and analysis, skills to a proven professional level.
  • Experience from a similar support role in supporting business critical systems.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, ability to deliver respectful conversation at all seniority levels.
  • A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.

Whilst not essential, the following would also be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL standards.
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management and ERP systems.
