A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medicines Management Assistant (MMA) to join the Community Agile Pharmacy Service (CAPS), supporting patients and staff in Active Recovery, Integrated Care Therapy Team, Community Stroke and Community Nursing.

The role of the Medicines Management Assistant is vital to ensure that our patient's medications needs are met in a timely manner.


This rewarding post includes supporting individuals to regain independence with medication administration under the supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.

There is a mixture of both office based tasks, with the majority being community based around Sheffield and it borders.


The role within the service will include working as part of the multidisciplinary team, which includes Nursing, Pharmacy, Therapy and support staff.

The service provides Pharmacy intervention for patients in their own homes across the city. The role will involve working one-to-one with patients, relatives and carers.


There is an expectation of high levels of attention to detail, ability to work within an established framework and consistent adherence to our PROUD values.

To provide support in the delivery of a quality medication administration and medication re-ablement service.

To provide support in implementing developments within operational services to meet the needs of the patient.


To work flexibly between the hours of 8am and 6pm city wide as part of the operational team in order to provide and maintain a comprehensive pharmaceutical service in line with current departmental policies and procedures.
