One of DCTT's School's, The Defence School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering (DSEME), plays a key role in delivering world-class technical training to soldiers and aviators across a variety of engineering disciplines.

Currently based at MOD St Athan, DSEME's sub-school, No 4 School of Technical Training (4SoTT) will be relocating to MOD Lyneham over the coming months, which presents an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Air Force 4SoTT.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:

As the Training Squadron Plans and Records Statistics Administrator you will be responsible for:
Managing all Phase 2 & Phase 3 technical training courses delivered by 4SoTT on the TAFMIS database.

Adding every course onto a Baseline Schedule, ensuring that the relevant calendar is used.


Managing each course by aligning the strategy, relaxations and optimisations before scheduling each course individually to produce a consistent overall Baseline Schedule and change and fix the course entry number.

Approving each course in course admin which enables other users' access to course material.

Each financial year turn the Baseline Schedule into a Current School Schedule.


On a monthly basis move the individual course elements within all live School Schedules to align the school timetable, and re-approve each course affected.

Organise and prepare all amendments to the training programme as they arise. Inform all stake holders of amendments at the earliest opportunity.

Adding leave calendars on to the training management system.

Processing course reports for students and sending civilian reports to relevant Training Cells.

Ensuring that all course competences are put onto the training management system within 28 days of the course end date.

Maintaining the Course Administration filing system in accordance with policy (JSP 441).
