Description
Working for one of the leading companies in the UK for providing Industrial Services, Scaffolding, Industrial Painting, Insulation, Access and special projects, this role is part of a large team.
The project is the largest in Europe, Hinkley Point C in Somerset.We are looking for a Project Planner on a permanent basis.
Accommodation can be provided if required and accountabilities include:
- Develop and maintain schedules for design / engineering / construction / commissioning
- Develop and maintain progress databases
- Progress reporting including production of Weekly and Monthly reports
- Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
- Recording delay and disruption
- Earned Value Management
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
- Site progress verification, including incorporating quality assessments
- Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
- Preparation of tender schedules
- Preparation of histograms
- Leading planning meetings and weekly work planning systems
- Resource / cash loading of schedules
- Completing contract review reports
- Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
- Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutionsNature and Scope of the role:Meets daily with the whole team to review programme and agree activities
- Involved with the team in decision making and problem solving
- Ensure planning meetings are led effectively, are focussed and productive
- Listens to every member's views and aims at consensus decisions

- Sound IT skills including Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

- Good Communication Skills including the ability to build good working relationships with other staff and other teams within Kaefer UK & Ireland
- Ability to chair meetings both with internal and external stakeholders
- 5+ previous experience of construction projects
- Proficient in all MS Office packages, with advanced level MS Excel
- Excellent organisational and project planning skills
- Excellent negotiation & problemsolving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team & work on own initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a friendly team
