We're seeking a future team member for the role of
Senior Specialist, Business Technology Liaison to join our OPTISM ( Operations, Payments, Treasury, Issuer Services, Markets) t eam.

This role is located in
Manchester, UK with a
hybrid work model .


Main Purpose of Job:

To focus on leadership and strategic perspective to enable value creation, growth and customer solutions


Involves:

  • Planning and orchestrating execution of the work and building a cohesive team.
  • Providing inspiration, coaching, and feedback to team members, reporting back on progress to tribe leaders, and give input on people development and performance to relevant chapter leaders.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • R esponsible for ensuring Squad level ceremonies like Daily Huddles, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Sprint Review, etc. are conducted focusing on value return
  • Responsible for the effective and consistent operational performance for the scrum process as the Scrum Master
  • Responsible for identifying, tracking, removing, and escalating both blockers and impediments at Squad level to maintain both pace and flow of value
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to Guardrails and Squad level activities
  • Responsible for owning and managing risks, issues, and dependencies across the Squads
  • Responsible for managing and resolving intraSquad dependencies by working with other Squad Leads within the Tribe
  • Responsible for both timely and effective tracking and reporting on Tribe progress against Sprint goals to stakeholder Leadership
  • Responsible for managing Squad capacity, utilisation, and velocity, actively engaging with other Squad Leads in the Tribe and Chapter leadership to discuss resourcing and utilisation strategies
  • Responsible for providing Chapter Lead with relevant input for each Squad member, supporting each Squad member's development and performance needs
  • Support Product Owner(s) with Squad backlog management
  • Collaborate and consult with other Squad Leads in the Tribe to manage resourcing and dependencies
  • Support Tribe leadership in optimising value flow for the Tribe
  • Work with the Chapter Lead to assist in the development of capability

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • A degree and at least 5 years of change management experience
  • Knowledge of the software development process (can be through scrum/ lean agile or standard SDLC).
  • Knowledge and experience of project management.
  • Squad Lead or Scrum Master experience
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proven decisionmaking ability
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of tools such as: Jira, Confluence etc
