Machine Operative

About the Role

As a fast-growing company and one of the largest Skirting and Architrave manufacturers in the UK, we demand absolute professionalism from each and every person within the business and a willingness to embrace continuous improvement and adapt to new systems.

You will be working within our team of machinists feeding the machine with the required material to reach the targeted production amount.

One of our experienced Wood Machinists will set up the machine with the tooling required and you will be shown the process methods of the business.

A complete understanding and proof of competency after a given period must be shown for official sign off.

Experience in the manufacturing of Skirting and Architrave is not essential, however experience with machinery would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Working from the inhouse built software, gathering the material required to complete the allocated job
Study and learn the 100+ profiles to help identify errors and irregularities
Identifying by eye, the different widths, lengths and thicknesses to maximise production output
Carry out daily, weekly and monthly TPM's on the machinery
Keep a clean and safe working environment
