An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Specialist Leg Ulcer Service for an experienced band 4 administrator with project management
knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive administration and secretarial support to the Specialist Practice Development Nurse - Leg
ulcer and Leg Ulcer Service Clinical Leads supporting the transformation of the Leg ulcer service.


There will be an expectation for the post holder to be highly motivated, flexible and multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills.

They will

possess excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems including Word and Excel, and have a keen interest in project management.

The post is full time (37.5hours) Monday to Friday. The post is set to commence in April 2023 and is a fixed term contract for 12 months.


To provide comprehensive administration and secretarial support to the Specialist Practice Development Nurse - Leg ulcer and Leg Ulcer Service Clinical Leads supporting the transformation of the Leg ulcer service model.

They will need to be highly motivated, flexible and multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills. They will possess excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems including Word and Excel.


They will be the central point of contact in the delivery of the leg ulcer practice development programme and health promotion campaign, communicating with a high number of influential stakeholders across East & North Herts and Hertfordshire West Essex ICB.


The post holder will be able to work to high standards, meet deadlines, collate data and maintain standards relating to administrative processes.

They will need to be able to work within a team effectively.


They will be key in maintaining diaries, arranging meetings, and training sessions, taking formal minutes and keeping appropriate records on the most up to date templates.

They will be required to monitor and collate reports related to the Service Level agreement (SLA) and its Key Performance Indictors (KPI's).


The post holder will be required to work closely with the Leg Ulcer and Tissue Viability Service Leads to co-ordinate and support the expansion and transition in service specification, of the specialist leg ulcer service across the East and North Hertfordshire Place.

MAIN DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational

  • Support the Specialist Practice Development Nurse
  • Leg Ulcer to collate and analyse Data (training needs analysis, KPIs)
  • To project manage the effective delivery and rollout of education across the organisation including venue management and bookings.
  • To plan and coordinate formal and informal education/training sessions.
  • Work with Clinical Leads/Primary Care Specialist Practice Development Nurse
  • Leg Ulcers to target education that facilitates the rollout of new leg ulcer care provision across East and North Hertfordshire Place.
  • Comply at all times with all regulations issued by HCT, paying particular attention to those concerning Health & Safety at Work and Information Governance. Ensure that all defects which may affect safety at work are brought to the attention of the appropriate manager.
Patient / Customer Care

  • Provide and receive routine and complicated information, including dealing with enquiries from external stakeholders and the public. This may include sensitive information.
  • Exercise judgement when resolving conflicting diary appointments or schedules, meetings, etc.
  • Support the communication strategy to customers and patients
  • Maintain the intranet pages and disseminate information across ENHerts Place
ServiceDevelopment and Improvement

  • To work closely with the Leg Ulcer Service/Tissue Viability Service Leads in coordinating the specialist leg ulcer care provision.
  • To support the delivery of a health promotion campaign to deliver progressive, integrated, safe and effective leg ulcer services across the East and North Hertfordshire footprint
  • Maintain a high level of keyboard and computer competencies.
  • To participate in the Trust's Individual Development and Performance Review appraisal system
  • To actively participate in the Trust's mandatory training as required for the post.
  • To contribute to discussions on service improvements and changes as part of the team.
Communication and Relationship Building

  • Maintain action plans, liaising with wider stakeholders to ensure timelines are met.
