Finance and Administration Assistant
Hours:37.5 hours per week
Salary:
£22,500 - £23,500

Reports to:
Operations & Finance Director
About the role
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Finance and Administration Assistant to provide support to all the organisations in the group.
The person appointed will be a highly motivated self-starter and will bring a high level of professionalism and commitment to the role.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Maintaining accounts and accurate recording (and coding) of sales invoices, purchases invoices, receipts, payments and other information on Excel spreadsheets and Sage accounting software
- Assisting with monthly payroll processing
- Handling payroll queries
- Processing statutory payments including SSP, SMP & SSP
- Preparing and issuing sales invoices
- Credit control: chasing payments from debtors
- Paying suppliers
- Bank lodgements
- Reconciliation of credit card transactions
- Bank account reconciliation
- Preparing monthly mileage report
- Assisting with quarterly processes
- Collating any required statistics
- Assisting with HR administration including maintaining employee files, filing recruitment information, assisting with recruitment processes and AccessNI
- Ordering of office and Warehouse supplies (e.g. stationery, cleaning supplies)
- Payroll reconciliations
- Providing regular, general clerical support including answering of phones, photocopying, scanning, post, reception cover etc.
- Assisting managers and fellow team members with time critical reporting and projects.
- Assisting with administration relating to other organisations of the group including North Down Community Works and North Down CFC
- Other duties as directed by the Operations & Finance Director or the General Manager as and when required
Person Specification
Essential
- A minimum of 5 GCSE's are required including Maths & English at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Minimum of one years' recent experience in a similar position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and networking skills.
- Excellent IT skills including high level competency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word in particular), Sage Accounts and Payroll.
- Expert organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Flexibility and willingness to be involved in a variety of tasks.
- Ability to work within the aims and values of the Group: these being 'Integrity, Respect, Care, Safety, Generosity and Excellence' and to compliment these values in everything you do.
Desirable
- Accounting Technician (working towards or fully qualified)
