Reporting to the Stock & Specialist Services Team Leader you will support the provision of Kent's library service, showing a commitment to customer service for both internal and external customers.


The successful applicant will receive training to assist with all aspects of the team's varied workload, including but not limited to accessioning and invoicing new library stock, aiding distribution to all service points, and providing a postal audiobook service to Kent's blind and visually impaired residents.


This is a physically demanding role, and will require bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting in line with Health & Safety regulations.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
