Stepping stones nursery Dunbar are looking for a qualified practitioner, we are a small nursery with a maximum of 20 children.

You will join a team of 7.

We are very focused on outdoor play and expanding every child's experiences and knowledge. We have 2 groups that do woodland schools each week. We strive to provide the best quality care to children that is suited to their individual needs.

We are looking for 2-5 practitioner to join our team and work on developing the nursery and your individual career.

We provide internal and external training to make sure that you can deliver the best care and experiences for the children and increase your knowledge.

SVQ3/HNC in Childcare/Education required. A good knowledge of the curriculums and a keen interest in outdoor learning is a must. Have the opportunity to help develop and grow the nursery, and join a fantastic and dedicated team.

Your role as Early Years Practitioner will include:

Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
Observe, support and extend children's learning.
Plan appropriately for children using the curriculum of excellence/ prebirth to three.
Good knowledge and understanding 'Realising the ambition' and 'Girfec'
Maintain accurate and effective children's records.
Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand, and when necessary,

follow, Safeguarding Procedures.

Be a Key Person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families.
Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Daily cleaning of the nursery and resourses.
Work as a team with other staff member

Part-time hours: 20-25 per week

Salary:
£9.50-£10.15 per hour
