We have full time posts available (part time may be considered)(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to work within the Mental Health In-patients service based at Stobhill Hospital.
The post-holder will be responsible for contributing to the care and support of people as part of an agreed plan of care which involves the use of a strength based recovery focused approach that proactively involves the person.
You will be required to be undertake duties without direct supervision, work in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals / agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies.
You will be supported to enhance your skills and knowledge and have access to training as well as participation in regular Nurse Line Management Supervision.
You should have an interest in working with patients with Mental Health conditions.Previous knowledge and experience of working in health & social care and supporting patients with Mental Health conditions would be advantageous although full training will be offered during the induction process.
The hours of this post are worked on a continental or 4/7 shift pattern including weekends and night duty. On appointment you will be aligned to one ward. The wards within Stobhill Mental Health Campus provide specialist care and treatment to some of our more complex patients.This allows for the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in this area and access specific training to provide a specialist service.
The post-holder will support the Registered Nursing Staff to contribute to safe and effective patient care and will be required to work across the mental health inpatient service (i.e. hospital site).Inpatient Services provide mental health nursing care for:
- People requiring acute mental health care (i.e. older adults & adult)
