Since the Big Issue magazine refreshed its design approach in the latter part of 2021, the visual identity of the entire Big Issue Group has undergone a transformation to align with this new direction.

Due to the expansion and increased demand in our commercial and marketing departments, we are in search of a passionate and skilled graphic designer to collaborate with the Art Director and Senior Designer in enhancing the creative output across the Big Issue Group.


Guided by the belief in the power of good design to drive positive change, you will be eager to leave your creative imprint on one of the largest social enterprises globally.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Graphic Design or Publishing, with a keen interest in typography and editorial design – both integral to our creative process.

You should be ready to dive in from day one, grasp brief requirements in line with our style, and effectively communicate with various departments.

You should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with additional knowledge in After Effects and animation being advantageous.

Remuneration and Perks:


  • The salary range for this role is £26,000 - £27,000 annually.
