Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Officer to join our One Trafford Partnership account in Trafford, Manchester. This is a hybrid role, that requires travel to the office 1 day per week. This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

At Trafford we work together with Trafford Council to empty bins, maintain the highway and look after parks and green spaces.


As the Communications Officer, you will work with the Communications Manager to deliver a mix of external and internal communications activities including our community newsletter.

You will support the management of the OTP's Facebook page. You will also support the Communications Manager with Cllr engagement and internal communications, as well as press.


The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

You will be responsible for:


  • Delivering a mix of internal and external communication campaigns
  • Engaging with councillors on service delivery and social value activities using a variety of channels
  • Managing the Social Media channels including Facebook, engaging with our audience
  • Writing news or press releases
  • Creating social media campaigns, monitoring the platforms and reporting on what works well and what can be improved

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Creative writing skills
  • A strong understanding of digital and social media
  • Familiarity with social software including e.g., CANVA, Hootsuite
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, particularly a communications role within the private sector.
