To help support our success, we are looking to expand our teams in the Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire regions by recruiting an additional full-time Utilities Machine Operator to operate various machinery required for excavation, laying Cables, and other utilities-related tasks.


Key skills:


  • Operating machinery such as excavators, trenchers, and other specialized equipment for utility installations; including relevant certifications and licenses for operating machinery.
  • Coordinating with other site operatives to ensure smooth workflow, working effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Conducting prestart checks of machines to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting and working in accordance with site plans, method statements, and drawings in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Fitting and operating ancillary equipment necessary for utility installations.
  • Digging trenches, laying pipes, and levelling ground as per project requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with risk assessments and commitment to the development of safe work practices on site.

Qualifications and experience:


  • Previous experience operating machinery in the utilities sector.
  • Must hold a valid CPCS or NPORS 360 operator card.
  • NRSWA / street works card holder.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working on utilities.
  • Confident with use of a handheld smart device to keep detailed and accurate records of work.

Salary:
Up to £185.00 per day
