£26k + OTE + Car Allowance
Luton

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be someone who wants to grow their business and maintain an entrepreneurial streak
  • Proven track record in new business development
  • Proven sales experience with a personal target
  • Explaining service pricing, following up on quotes, and negotiating with customers to increase conversion rates.
  • Autonomous approach with a positive 'can do' attitude to grow your customer base
  • Developing and broadening relationships with existing customers to maximise sales penetration within each customer
  • Resolving customer issues and queries as necessary
  • To build a portfolio of repeat customers through effective communication & quality service
  • Effective management of a broad portfolio of sales leads
  • Building a solid pipeline of businesses who use logistic services
  • Identifying new clients and using a combination of our process and your experience, turning new opportunities into customers
  • Ensure that internal tracking system housekeeping is completed to the required standards
  • Constantly communicate with customer services and drivers to ensure customer KPI targets achieved and maintained
  • Ensure BDM targets are achieved in line with company objectives, manage BDM activity, CRM compliance and KPI reporting to ensure delivery of these targets.
  • Support, energise and motive the team to achieve set targets

Key Skills:

  • Experience working in a proactive sales role & business development role
  • Experience with the transport sector within the UK, and business development skills within this market would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Able to present and communicate effectively with a strong focus on excellent customer service and relationship building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to take the initiative as well as collaborate with teams across the wider UK network
  • Sound financial and commercial acumen
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and knowledge of CRM systems too
