- Prepare, cook, and serve food following the menus prepared by the Kitchen Manager.
- Assist with the setting up and clearing the service counter, and to supervise self service of food, replenishing as necessary.
- Assist with cleaning, clearing up, washing the kitchen.
- Undertake training on a regular basis, to ensure a high level is maintained.
- Supervise the afternoon kitchen assistant at school, including any casual staff, as necessary, ensuring the appropriate allocation of duties so as to ensure a balanced and motivated staff team.
- Provide information to Kitchen Manager on request
- Responsible for the day to day Health, Safety and security of the kitchen areas, ensuring all food hygiene regulations are complied with, including HACCP so that appropriate standards and records are maintained
- Provide catering services to other parts of the school site as required and be able to provide special catering needs for customers, as and when required e.g. Conferences, Parents Evenings, Academy Council Meetings etc.

£21,968.00-£22,369.00 per year
