Job Description:


Trackbed Technician:


  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.

Plan, manage, lead and supervise site teams undertaking detailed Trackbed investigations in the railway environment using a range of investigation techniques.


  • Take H&S responsibility for site activities, including providing safety briefing, directing labour on site, collation and checking of site records and verification of site data.
  • Trackbed Material Logging to BS5930.
  • Capturing of site records via Tablets.

Site Technician:


  • Act as a support driller within a team, assisting in the completion of boreholes across varying sites ranging from roads, rail, and development land
  • Assist in the completion of intrusive structural assessments. This will involve coring works and strength assessments into various structures including Buildings, Platforms, Bridges & Culverts.
  • Manage and participate in the daytoday maintenance and pre use checks of all our Ground Investigation equipment required to deliver the works.
  • Communicate with clients, piers, and subcontractors to ensure safe onsite delivery of works.
  • Produce basic reports based on information gathered during the site works.

Qualifications:


  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Able to travel and stay away for short periods of time
  • Keen interest in working outdoors and fieldwork in general.
