Job overview:


An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible, and well-motivated, Senior Administrator to join our Business support team in Children's Services.

Supporting predominantly the Head of Service along with other team managers in the Children's services.

  • Children's Speech and Language Therapy
  • Children's Community Nursing
  • Children's Neurodevelopmental Assessment
  • Children's Learning Disability and Autism Teams
You will need to be computer literate and ideally have excellent word processing skills.

Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a health care setting, along with the ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently.

You will be required to work using your own initiative within a busy team, be able to communicate well and have an adaptable and flexible attitude to your work.


This role will be varied and rewarding role that will provide an opportunity, for the right person, to become a key member of the team.

A high degree of flexibility is required to meet the day-to-day challenges of the service. Excellent time management and communication skills are required.

A mix of home and office-based work is anticipated to deliver this role and
the office base would be negotiable as long as any travel requirements can be met.

This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week however part time and flexible working will be considered


Main duties of the job:


  • To ensure a consistently high level of performance standard is maintained, to support an efficient, effective and satisfactory service delivery.
  • To take direction from the Admin Team Lead.
  • To be help in providing a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to senior staff within Children's Services Business Support Team ensuring that a high quality service is delivered at all times.
  • To guarantee that all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and timescales, reporting to the Team Leader as necessary.
  • To participate in administrative duties ensuring that all administrative staff are supported and all patients, staff and visitors are treated in a professional and pleasant manner.
