Maintenance Assistant

Hours:
Permanent full-time, four weeks' (20 days) annual leave plus Bank Holidays and three-day closure during the Christmas holiday

37.5 hours per week, 07:30 - 16:00 or 09:30 - 18:00 Monday - Friday (with breaks/lunch totalling one hour/day)

We are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Assistant.

Farlington is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 4 to 18, and is set in 33 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside.

Person Specification

At least two years' experience in a recognised trade, e.g. carpentry/joinery, painting/decorating, etc.
Good teamworking skills and ability to communicate.
Ability and fitness to be able to carry our general maintenance tasks(decoration, minor repairs etc).
Ability and fitness to be able to carry out general security duties.
Reliable, conscientious and trustworthy, and ability to work unsupervised.
Good time management skills.
A full, clean driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years.

Desirable

Experience of working in an educational setting.
Specific carpentry/joinery or painting/decorating experience preferred (butother trades welcome).
D1 driving licence.
