Have you got experience of supporting children with needs?

Are you looking to support one-to-one outside of mainstream schools?


This SEN tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or have any experience working with children and are looking for some flexible work.


This SEN tutor role involves:


  • Working with children with Special Education Needs and providing face to face support to children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD at their homes or a local area e.g., library
  • Planning resources around the child's needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in Maths, English and Science.
  • Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning.
  • Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.

What we are looking for in a SEN tutor:

  • SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other)
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions.
  • Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour.
  • Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
