TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED BY RUSHCOMBE FIRST SCHOOL - XS10.5A


The post is a fixed term contract commencing ideally in March/April 2024 until the end of the summer term 2024.

There is a possibility that there will be an opportunity for this role to be extended for the following academic year.


The post is:

  • Monday
  • Friday
  • Hours of work: 08.30 am pm (32.5hrs per week over 39 working weeks)
  • Rate of pay: Grade 3, SCP 34. Actual salary £17,255 £17,542
The role could be in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and / or 2.


The relevant qualifications in English/literacy and mathematics/numeracy, equivalent to at least Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework is required.

Experience of working with children in an educational setting is desirable.

  • The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years' service._
  • The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The annual salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year._
