Working hours:
Minimum of 35 hours per week


Interview date: 19th April 2023 at our Territorial Headquarters in London


The job exists to co-ordinate an open-access Employment Plus Local service which will assist individuals in addressing barriers to finding and sustaining employment or in becoming digitally included.

Within The Salvation Army, this position is called Employment Development Coordinator.


Key Responsibilities:
This role involves identifying, developing, securing and helping sustain appropriate work opportunities for unemployed persons within the local community. You will be responsible for engaging, training and managing a team of volunteers.


In addition, you will develop and maintain close working partnerships with Homelessness Services, Community Services and Corps, to support those in the community experiencing unemployment.


  • Knowledge of the local labour market and significant experience in Employer Engagement
  • Experience in delivering high quality services to people suffering unemployment.
  • Proven ability to be selfdirecting, planning and prioritising own work load.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
