Description

We are looking for an Engineering Admin Assistant to assist the Engineering Supervisors by providing administration support to the Engineering Departments of Go East Anglia and provide support for effective fleet administration.


This is a maternity cover role and will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.00 to 16.30, however there is scope for flexibility around these hours.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Ensure weekly clock cards are received and wage reports for each depot's engineering function are compiled forwarding to Payroll Assistant in a timely manner.


  • Manage holiday and absence records for Engineering staff of Go East Anglia and compile end of period report.
  • Monitor the fuel system daily, making sure deliveries are recorded and monitored.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet database of vehicles at Go East Anglia, ensure their whereabouts is known, including road tax and MOT expiry dates, and significant information.
  • Maintain V5 registration documents and MOT documents for all vehicles.
  • Manage the road tax procedure, ensuring that all road tax is renewed in a timely manner when due.
  • Provide an administration service to the Engineering Manager, and Engineering Supervisors, regarding typing reports and letters, general filing, answering the telephone, etc.
  • Provide period end reports for Tyre mileage, compile Fuel issue and delivery reports and ensure meter readings spreadsheet is complete.
