HR Officer - Billingham, United Kingdom - RMS
Description
RMS are delighted to be recruiting a HR Officer for a growing E&I contractor based in Billingham.We are looking to employ an HR Officer with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The HR officer is expected to be knowledgeable with employment legislation and possess strategic and commercial insight to the labour process.
Typical Duties included:
- Preparing job descriptions and advertisements
- Recruiting and onboarding new staff
- Analysing training needs in conjunction with managers; planning and delivering training, including staff inductions.
- Monitoring staff performance and attendance
- Advising managers and other employees on employment law and the employer's own employment policies and procedures
- Advising on disciplinary and employee performance problems
- First point of contact for HR related matters
- Answering any employee inquiries
- Updating employee holiday and sickness records
- Recording and processing confidential information
- Maintaining database of all employees on a daily basis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in human resources within the construction industry.
- Effective organisational skills
- Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices

Salary:
£25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
