Description
L3 Optics have a great opportunity for an experienced Yard/Stores Supervisor.You will be required to oversee all yard and store requirements:
Regular Stock checks ensuring all stock is stored correctly
Supervise and overseeing yard operations
Receiving and arranging stock of all materials required for project, engineers, supervisors, and managers
Controlling inventory to ensure sufficient stock, regular audits carried out.
Stock and equipment thresholds are monitored and maintained.
Stock reports to be provided to management as necessary.
Lead and take ownership of all yard functions and day-to-day operations.
Plant and trailer checks carried out.
Log and monitor stock and assets via internal inventory systems
By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations.
Continually improve processes and procedures throughout.
Enforcing health and safety rules to any employees that may enter stores facility.
Ensure waste is managed
Ensure any returned kit is inspected and checked for serviceability and condition before reissue
Ensuring equipment is calibrated and maintained as per manufacturer and approved code of practice requirements
Have previous counter balance forklift experience/license
Have excellent organisations skills
Have good IT skills
Drive processes
Have an understanding of the Telecommunications/construction industry
Have a strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.
Approaches problems with an open mind and ensures any issues are addressed in a professional, speedy, and cost-effective manner, whilst using initiative.
Salary:
£30,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Oldham, OL1 4AE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
