The Role:


The Recruitment Manager Asset Management will focus on building and shaping the recruitment strategy across this critical, growth client portfolio.

Working with senior business heads they will be immersed in the growth plans, location strategy and target operatingmodel, partnering closely with the HR Director and the HR Business Partners to develop a robust, commercial hiring strategy.

Focusing on recruiter productivity and metrics, the Recruitment Manager will champion the direct hiring philosophy, ensuring all sourcingtools are maximised by the team


Key Responsibilities:


  • Personally identify and source exceptional talent required for a small portfolio of the most senior/technical revenue generating roles within the organisation. Build talent pipelines needed for business growth, succession planning and replacement hires.(We are all 'player managers' at M&G plc and get hands on as required.
  • Drive recruiter productivity and performance through the ongoing focus on achieving optimal sourcing metrics.
  • Use MI to provide insights and to relevant business SMT's and HR colleagues. Leverage data to shape hiring strategies and approaches.
  • Provide counsel on all matters Resourcing related to HR, Hiring Managers, Senior Management Teams and the wider Resourcing team
  • Manage the recruitment coordination function, consistently looking to achieve efficiencies in process and operating model
  • Play an integral, collaborative role as part of the Resourcing, Talent and Early Careers leadership team on which this role sits.
  • Support a passionate DEI culture and agenda at M&G plc that manifests through programmes, initiatives and collaboration across the wider Talent, Resourcing and Early Careers Team
  • Manage the Talent Intelligence team member and evolve the capability & insights of this offering

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Experienced people manager, comfortable leading and motivating a high performing team to achieve targets; comfortable to coach and develop more junior recruiters
  • Demonstrable experience of resourcing at an executional level, with strong ability to support in strategic thinking and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Extensive inhouse (and possibly agency) experience gained within the financial services sector, preferably Asset/Investment management across the spectrum of asset classes
  • Experience managing cross line of business transformation projects. Able to manage multiple projects and meet delivery targets
  • Has worked internationally across the European, Asian and ideally American markets and conversant with the nuances of regulatory and cultural nuances than come with cross border recruitment
  • Excellent direct sourcing and capabilities
  • Commercially focused, good budget and financial management skills
