Description

We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to join the Imperial NIHR Biomedical Research Centre Theme on the Social, Genetic and Environmental Determinants of Health (SGE).

This post is to conduct research on the role of social factors in explaining variation in health outcomes.

Applicants should have a background in public health, social epidemiology or relevant applied social science, and experience of quantitative and qualitative research methods and participatory approaches to research.


Duties and responsibilities:


The post-holder will develop their own area(s) of research focused on one or more of the programmes of the SGE Theme, which include diversity in research participation, translating genomics into practice, social inequalities in COVID-19 recovery, adolescent and child-health.

The post-holder will also be responsible for working closely with our team of Community Partners to ensure their effective involvement in Theme research and governance, proposing co-design and co-research were appropriate.


Essential requirements:


We are aiming to recruit someone with a PhD in Public Health or a related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience.

The post is full time and fixed-term for 3 years, based at Imperial's St Mary's Campus (Paddington) moving to the White City Campus.
