We are seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our committed and enthusiastic team.


The role will complement the work of our teachers, helping pupils close the gap in their learning through the provision of additional support and class cover.


  • Have experience working as a HLTA in a school setting.
  • Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic approach, being able to inspire, motivate and encourage pupils in their learning.
  • Have the ability to work as a team and alone.
  • Show commitment to their own learning and development, and the sharing of good practice.
  • Be able to contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons, showing confidence in the delivery of learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes without the presence of the teacher and monitoring pupils by assessing, recording and reporting their achievements, progress and development.

  • The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children's Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children's services._
