Job Summary:

I bet you're seeing LOADS of adverts for building surveyors at consultancies at the moment all over the Yorkshire and North West areas.

I know I am. And it's REALLY hard to find anything that makes any of them stand out against each other.

They all offer a "great opportunity" to work on "exciting projects" with career progression in a "friendly team". etc etc etc.

And whilst all this is true of this opportunity as well, there are a few things which make this Building Consultancy stand out...

Flexibility - everyone is treated like an adult. There's no micromanagement, no over-zealous manager on your back the whole time, and red-tape is non-existent.

Instead you're free to deliver projects for the client in the best way you can, carry out surveys and produce reports to the quality needed, and to make sure the client always comes first.

Balance - as well as the project / professional work being almost a 50/50 split to get the work balance you'd like, there's also an excellent work/life balance, where you're not routinely expected to work until all hours and Sundays.

Instead you'll be given the flexibility to work the way you want to as part of a team to get the job done.

So if you're keeping an eye out for a new role, a step up from the level you're at to maybe get away from a glass ceiling, or feel your career is stagnating a little, why not find out a bit more about this building surveying opportunity? You do need to be MRICS chartered (or very close to being so) and have experience working at consultancy or private practice.
