This is a hybrid based role

Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts for the group.
  • Processing prepayments, accruals, inter company and other relevant month end journals.
  • Reconciling donations
  • Maintaining fixed assets register.
  • Preparing Foundation bank reconciliation.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual accounts and liaising with auditors.
  • Supporting annual budget cycle in liaison with managers and other budget holders.
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting and monitoring, including processing & reconciliation of online book sales and VAT returns for the group
  • Managing company mobile phones contract.
  • Preparation of accounting records and supporting schedules for audit.
  • Management of Sales Ledgers and credit control function.
  • Manage the Purchase Ledger
  • Provide financial information and advice to all staff.
  • Managing payments relating NI and PAYE to HMRC.
  • Other duties as agreed with the financial controller / Director of Finance.
You will need to be

  • A recognised Accountancy/Finance qualification
  • Confident communicator with excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide consistent support
