Description
You will join our fantastic team here in Stirchley in a residential area. As a Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities.


You will help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Waking Nights Mental Health Support Worker include:

  • Provide a range of one-to-one support to service users, as required during night shifts.
  • To stay alert and awake during the whole shift, in case of any issues or requirements from service users.
  • Use initiative to ensure that not only scheduled tasks are completed but service improvements are identified
  • Work in a personcentred way to create opportunities for service user's personal development and growth
  • Complete a range of reports and daily logs accurately and clearly
  • Liaise proactively with external agencies (such as CPNs, Social Workers,
  • Community Mental Health Teams etc.) and family/friends of service users
  • Where required, prompt or administer medication accurately and keep all records up to date
  • Report any issues to the oncall Manager immediately

£6.83-£9.50 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends only

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Birmingham, B27: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
