We are recruiting on behalf of our Ludlow based client who requires an Assembly Operator to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation experiencing continued year on year growth.


What you can expect:


  • Hourly rate £12.40 /Weekly £458.80
  • Shift allowance: £72.24 and weekly bonus c. £32.00
  • 3 rotating shifts (Mornings/Afternoons/Nights)

  • 25 days holiday per year rising to 26 days after 5 years continual service

What you will be doing:


  • Producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies
  • Preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists
  • Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assembling components by fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Verifying specifications by measuring completed component
  • Resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs
  • Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserving resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Documenting actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

What we are looking for:


  • Experience of working in a heavy industry environment
  • Experience of operating variety of production equipment
  • Experience as a mechanical fitter/mechanic a distinct advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

From £12.40 per hour
