About us:


Playskill, an award-winning charity, is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional in the field of paediatric occupational, speech and language, or physiotherapy to lead our exceptional team that works with children and their families/carers.

As the Head of Family Services, you will play a crucial role in managing early intervention therapy-based play groups for children aged 1 to 5 with physical disabilities.

Playskill also offers vital support to families/carers through a dedicated parent support team.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, specialist workers, and parent support workers
  • Manage and support senior therapists, senior specialist workers, and the parent support team
  • Act as the designated safeguarding lead and health and safety lead for the organisation
  • Coordinate therapy groups in collaboration with the day lead therapists and ensure compliance with HCPC guidelines on record keeping
  • Coordinate the work of the parent support team, assisting parents in navigating specific challenges
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, empathy, numeracy, and administrative skills
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate records, provide reliable information, and liaise with internal and external agencies
  • Possess knowledge and experience of CRM and MS Office systems, as well as familiarity with GDPR law

Job Type: 21 hours per week, primarily on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays during Hertfordshire school term times, with the potential to include Wednesday mornings later in the year

£26.06-£29.33 per hour
