An exciting opportunity has become available to work at Key Accountancy Services - a professional accountancy practice based in Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent.
Supporting small businesses, sole traders, and contractors since 2013, Key Accountancy offers a range of financial services, including guidance and accountancy implementation.
What you will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, responding to their queries efficiently and effectively to ensure clients receive an excellent level of service
- Completing director selfassessments (dividends and payroll)
- Completing sole trader selfassessments (VAT registered)
- Completing VAT returns, CIS returns, payroll, bookkeeping reviews and processing P11D's for clients in your own portfolio
- Preparing management accounts; profit and loss, journals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Taking responsibility for the preparation of the limited company accounts and corporation tax returns
- Carrying out forecasting and analysis of accounts to identify any risk areas and reporting these on a quarterly, sixmonthly or annual basis
- Carrying out any other tasks which will support the rest of the team to deliver an effective service to clients
- Taking responsibility for any Xero problem solving or system corrections as required
- Providing full information to the Directors relating to any incidents involving problems with clients, employees or equipment etc
- Being responsible for the completion of additional tasks relating to your role upon request by Directors
- Complying with GDPR and other relevant legislation regarding confidentiality
- Working consistently to the legal requirements for health and safety
- Acting as ambassador in the best interests of the company, displaying great work ethic, being a keen team player and delivering to the highest standards
- Using own initiative and judgement in all tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Company
- Developing self in the role by learning to identify any opportunities
- Working in a professional and flexible manner, contributing to an atmosphere of solidarity and respect within the team
- Attending and fully participating in all training relevant for your role with a willingness to personally develop

- Strong academic background
- An understanding of accounting fundamentals

- Ability to remain resilient when faced with challenging situations
