We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our team. This is a permanent, part
- time position working 15 hours per week from 08:00 to 16:30 Saturday and Sunday.


Salary:
£11.95 per hour

Location:
Garden Halls, London


The role:

  • Clean designated areas within the Halls of Residence including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens.
  • Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairs.
  • Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate.
  • Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
  • During the conference season only: Make beds, including stripping and changing sheeting collection of laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collection
  • Clean internal and external windows, where applicable.
  • Move free standing furniture as required.
  • Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils, as appropriate.
  • Some level of flexibility (with advance notice) is required, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
  • To act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices.
Working with Others

  • Daily liaison with the residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff.
  • Possible liaison with specialist subcontractors and the University Maintenance Section.
  • You must have a conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret basic Heath & Safety guidance._
