EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN PENZANCE*We are recruiting for daytime and/or waking night staff to join our team in supporting 6 people with learning disabilities and/or mental health support needs, who live in their own flat situated in one complex in Penzance.

The people we support have asked that the staff who support them share interests in: cooking, writing, cycling, donkeys, tennis, walking, music and vinyls, shopping and walking into town, visiting attractions and carpentry/woodwork and have a sense of fun and humour

Hours available are part and full time hours which are contracted. Bank contracts are also available on request.

What does a day look like for a support worker in Penzance Well, we focus everything we do to make the people we support as independant, safe and included as possible.

We prompt, guide and encourage the people we support to makes their wants, wishes and aspirations a reality. Some include the ability to manage their own daily living, access the community, attend appointments but also enjoy days out, holidays and even the odd concert or two

What we ask from you:
- a reliable and person centred approach to work, because the people we support sit at the centre of all that we do.
- to work flexibly including some weekend hours (weekend hours are rota'd with notice)
  • A team player with supporting shifts.
- a desire to provide excellent support to the people we support and build a professional relationships of trust.
- a willingness to undertake training - we provide many career progression opportunities but you will be required to meet mandatory training in order to be allocated support hours.
