We are currently working with our valued client, a to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Arbroath on a permanent basis.


Our client is a family owned business who have an established and demonstratable background in delivering works to a high standard and their continued level of service to the wider construction industry has seen them go from strength to strength.

As wellas offering a variety of construction services including earthworks, groundworks, agriculture, demolition, haulage, road surfacing and waste management, they are also suppliers of as range of quarry products.

The business still has a "family feel" to it andholds the values and principles of a traditional organisation.


They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to work alongside the team to ensure that projects are agree completed on time and within budget.


As a Contracts Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Management of site operations
  • Client liaison
  • Developing new clients
  • Preparing and submitting tenders
  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy.
  • Develop budgets, cost control and identify risks.
  • Main Contractor reports & updates
  • Director reports
  • RAMS
  • Managing Budgets
  • Material resourcing
  • Managing labour/plant
  • Negotiation, agreement and administration of contracts.
  • Invoicing and preparation of final accounts

Applicants must have the following:


  • Educated to a degree or HNC level as a minimum in a civil engineering discipline
  • Previous civil engineering experience is essential.
  • Appropriate knowledge of health and safety policies.
  • Methodical approach to tasks undertaken.
  • Good analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills
  • Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships
  • Competent with all forms of contract and standard methods of measurement
  • Full UK drivers license.
