1. Main purpose of job
1.1. To implement the College programmes delivery, assessment and quality assurance process.

To deliver a Range of programmes to College students;

Duties and Responsibilities:
3.1. Ensure high quality and inspirational learning and teaching and a positive experience for the learner.;
3.2. Maintain academic standards and motivation

3.3. Be aware of curriculum developments;
3.4. Produce Schemes of Work and participate in teams connected with the programme delivery for assessment and monitoring;
3.5. Teach learners the knowledge and skills required to achieve the qualification; 3.6. Ensure appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments undertaken in a timely manner;
3.7. Maintain high standards of achievement, behaviour, discipline and punctuality; 3.8. Act as a personal tutor to the appropriate student groups;
3.9. Undertake course leadership responsibilities as required;
3.11. Make a full contribution to the development of the quality assurance procedures and to the achievement of the objectives contained therein;
3.12. Ensure assessment and quality assurance processes (including internal and external verification) are effectively implemented across the programmes;
3.13. Design assessment activities which guide learners to produce evidence that meets the targeted learning aims and assessment criteria, using the associated assessment guidance to provide sufficient coverage of unit content;
3.14. Provide summative assessment of the completed work submitted by learners, checking authenticity and sufficiency of evidence produced against the relevant learning aims, assessment criteria and unit content;
3.15. Liaise with the Quality Nominee to be aware of information updates and quality assurance are fit for the purpose;
3.16. Ensure an effective system of recording learner achievement is in place;
3.17. Advise on the appropriateness of assessment evidence with regard to level, sufficiency, authenticity, validity and consistency;
3.18. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of the internal verification process;
3.20.

Work flexibly and carry out additional roles within the college as may be agreed from time to time within the Terms of Reference (ToRs); issuing renewal notices as required.


Person Specification:
4.1. Passionate about education and supporting others;
4.2. Highly motivated;
4.3.

Education:
Academic and/or professional qualifications to Master's Degree in relevant academic discipline;
4.4. Over 4 years' teaching experience in Higher Education;
4.5. Effective management and leadership skills appropriate to an Education environment;
4.6. Good interpersonal skills and experience of communicating effectively with staff and students;
4.9. Ability to act as Chair formal of and informal meetings;
4.10. Has undergone education / training in which English is the first language (desirable);
4.11. Has received training in a professional capacity which requires secretarial services (desirable);
4.12. Knowledge of and operating MS Excel spreadsheets; (desirable)

4.14. Has multi-tasking abilities (desirable).
